Introduction

The Institute of Pharmacology was established in 1962. At its inception most of our faculty devoted their research to snake venom, thereby establishing a concrete academic foundation. Currently, each principal investigator has developed independent research with achievements in various fields, including: cardiovascular system, neuroscience, immune system, cancer biology and stem cell biology. Furthermore, by collaborating with other outstanding scientists, our investigators are engaged in scrutinizing the physiological and pathological signal transduction at the molecular level and applying the whole systemic mechanisms to individual organisms.
